I’m Mona.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, I help people navigate critical life changes, cope with stress and anxiety, and safely process trauma. I am EMDRIA certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and now offer “intensives”. Additionally, I am certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol. I have experience working with car accidents, sexual assault and other types of assaults/violent deaths.

My Background
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Tennessee with extensive experience in interpersonal trauma, anxiety, and parenting challenges.
In 1995, I obtained my BS in psychology from Lambuth University before graduating from The University of Tennessee with a Master’s in Social Work. I graduated from UT with my Ph.D. in 2003 and have been working with adults, teens, and children since.
If you feel worried, sad or are wanting to work through some challenges, then I would love to work with you. Whether or not you are “new” to therapy or have benefited from it before, I will help you feel comfortable with the process.
Thinking about what you want in a therapist? You’re welcome to try the C-NIP to see your preferences: https://www.c-nip.net/. Then, we can discuss further to see if I’m a good fit for you.
Sessions that work for you
Your sessions could be in my office, while taking a walk outside, in your own home, or remotely. All remote appointments are offered through a secure HIPAA-compliant video chat service called TherapyNotes, so you can speak freely knowing our conversation is secure.* Additionally, I use Spruce for texting, reminders, and video chatting, which are also encrypted.
* Tennessee, Connecticut and New Hampshire residents only. Will consider
traveling to CT or NH for intensives.
